Welcome to the Carmel Valley Troop 127 family. Since 1952 Troop 127 has combined exciting outdoor activities with personal development through leadership opportunities, merit badges, rank advancement , community service and plain old fun with friends in a healthy environment and a variety of activities: Wilderness backpacking, hiking, biking, sailing, canoeing, camping, whitewater rafting, snow camping, snow sports, rock climbing, house-boating, skiing, archery, rifle shooting, and fishing to name a few. Building character and instilling a sense of confidence and responsibility is our goal while we are having all this fun. They say that the proof is in the pudding. We are proud to say that Carmel Valley Troop 127 has generated, appropriate to its name, over 127 Eagle Scouts in its history, with many more ready to take flight on the horizon.
Part of Troop 127's success is attributable to our long and strong history of being a Scout-led Troop, enriched through participation in Junior Leadership Training of various kinds. We use both BSA's Troop JLT syllabus for sessions within our Troop meetings, and benefit from training with other organizations such as White Stag Leadership Development Camp. The Troop fosters leadership development by partially subsidizing each Scout's fees for leadership camp, when funds are available to do so.
Our doors are always open to visitors. Please join us at any of our meetings, with or without notice. Our troop calendar, below, is always current and shows our meeting dates, times and places along with other troop events.
